The Consortium

The RERC consortium consists of six university departments led from the School of Geography, Birkbeck College, University of London.

The partners are:

• the Department for Town and Regional Planning and the School of Health and Related Research (ScHAAR) at the University of Sheffield,
• the Centre for Longitudinal Studies at the Institute of Education, University of London,
• the School of Public Policy at the University of Birmingham,
• the School of Management and Business at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and
• the Centre for Transport Policy at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.

Within these organisations, contracted research staff have been appointed for the duration of the project.

The RERC also has a number of academic associates on whom it calls from time to time for specialist research, especially in the fields of migration, crime, employment and rural development.
